CSV file
Import Database objects from a CSV file on your computer. Useful for one-off imports or when you update a file and re-upload manually.
Before you import
- The first row must be column headers that match your field names exactly (same spelling and casing as in Database › Edit fields).
- For address columns, set Database › Edit fields › Location › Language before importing.
Typical flow
- Open Database › CSV import in the map editor
- Choose Upload file and select your CSV
- Click Sync fields — review detected columns and add any missing fields
- Set options (ID column for upsert, geocoding, etc.)
- Import now, then Save the map
MapSVG can geocode address columns (requires Google API keys), download remote image URLs into the Media Library, and run large imports in background batches.
